PREREQUISITES
→ Movement Principles Course
→ Minimum of 20 Reformer classes
→ At least 1 year of experience teaching movement.
→ Anatomy course completed prior to testing out.

This three day course introduces the Pilates Reformer, the centerpiece of the Pilates equipment studio and an essential tool for developing strength, alignment, and control. Reformer 1 focuses on the safe and effective use of the Reformer through a broad repertoire of supine, seated, and standing exercises appropriate for beginning to intermediate students.

Participants will deepen their understanding of Movement Principles while exploring strategies to improve lower-body alignment, promote balanced muscle development, and apply a clear, structured approach to upper-body training. Emphasis is placed on precision, thoughtful progression, and purposeful sequencing to support efficient, whole-body movement.

    • This course will have 16 students.

    • Each pair of students will share one Reformer throughout the course, allowing them to spot each other, offer support, and enhance their learning experience.
