Mat 1 establishes the foundation of the Pilates Mat repertoire. This course introduces the history and principles of the Pilates method while covering beginning and intermediate Mat exercises.

Each exercise is explored in depth, including purpose, proper execution, regressions and progressions, injury considerations, and adaptations for special populations. You will also learn class design principles, effective cueing strategies, and best practices for teaching group classes, seniors, and pre- and postnatal clients.

Course Location & Participant Details

    • This course will have 16 students.

    • Each student will have their own mat and prop set throughout the course, with paired exercises woven in to develop spotting, cueing, and observation skills

  • Certificate:

    Participants will receive a Level One Course Completion Certificate upon successfully completing the course.

    Manuals:

    • The course manual must be purchased online along with the course.

    • Paula will provide the digital manual to each student.

    • Courses require significant preparation, venue coordination, and instructor scheduling.

    • Limited spaces are intentionally maintained to ensure high-quality training.
