About Paula
Paula Uribe is a certified Balanced Body®️ Educator based in Dubai, UAE, with over 10 years of experience teaching Pilates across the Middle East.
Before becoming a Pilates educator, Paula developed her movement background through both high-level sport and performance. She competed as a member of the Colombian national volleyball team and also played competitively in the North West of England. Alongside sport, she trained in contemporary dance from a young age and participated in multiple regional dance competitions in her hometown.
This diverse movement background continues to shape her teaching today — combining movement quality, body awareness, performance principles, load management, and long-term physical capacity.
Alongside more than 10 years of teaching Pilates across the Middle East, Paula continued expanding her professional education through the Balanced Body®️ education system before becoming a certified Balanced Body®️ Educator.
Today, she combines practical teaching experience with a contemporary, principle-based approach to help future instructors build confidence, observation skills, critical thinking, and long-term teaching competence.
Paula’s courses are grounded in Balanced Body®️’s contemporary methodology and combine Pilates fundamentals with functional movement and performance concepts. Her approach helps future instructors develop not only technical understanding, but also the ability to observe movement, communicate effectively, adapt exercises, and teach with confidence.
Paula teaches the Balanced Body®️ certification pathway in Dubai, including Movement Principles & Pilates Essentials, Reformer Levels 1–3, Mat Levels 1–3, Trapeze Table, and Pilates Chair.
Courses are delivered across Dubai and welcome students from across the GCC, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.
Whether you are a fitness professional, Pilates instructor, physiotherapist, movement practitioner, yoga teacher, or wellness professional, Paula’s training pathway is designed to help you build practical teaching skills, deepen your understanding of movement, and develop into a confident Pilates instructor.
Because becoming an instructor is not simply about completing courses — it is about learning how to teach movement with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
